What counts as "available"
A site can respond to a request and still fail a check that matters: a TLS certificate close to expiring, a domain registration about to lapse, DNS records pointing at the wrong place, or plain-http traffic that never redirects to the secure version. This checker runs all of those, plus the homepage response and response time, from outside your own infrastructure.
It also checks mail-related records — SPF, DMARC, MX — which don't affect whether the site loads but do affect whether your domain's email is trustworthy and deliverable.
